In our wooden alpine styled restaurant, we serve traditional Austrian food as well as with local products created dishes with a little twist. In summer you can enjoy our beautiful garden with a sun terrace and get blown away by the breathtaking views of the Ziller Valley Alps.

Since May 2018, Michael Oberleitner, the great-grandson of the founding generation, has been the owner of the family-runned Waldcafe which was constructed in 1928. After completion of the higher education institute for tourism in Zell am Ziller in the year 2011 Michael started to gather experience in the industry.
In businesses like the award-winning restaurant Sieghard in Schwendau, the Hotel Alpenhof 4s in Hintertux, the Hotel Post 4s in Lermoos, as well as a one and a half year stay in London at the hotel The Dorchester 5* and the buzzing Smoking Goat Restaurant, Michael developed and improved his skills and knowledge.
